Apple has put out a notice that it is seeking someone who has a proven track record in iOS development and who has experience in Objective-C, using Xcode and Instruments, for the purpose of equipping the Apple Watch with native apps.

The Apple Watch Evangelist position will need to be filled by a “a motivated iOS app development expert, with strong communication and people skills [who will] work closely with 3rd party developers to help them build platform differentiating, next generation apps for iOS, with a primary focus on Apple Watch apps.”

The job description states that the ideal candidate will need to have at least 5 years of experience with C, C++, and Objective-C. Using this know-how, the Apple Watch Evangelist will communicate “app architecture, design, and programming best-practices” to engineering, and will even come into contact with marketing organizations. The new recruit will even host technical sessions at Apple’s annual Worldwide Developers Conference, according to Apple’s wording.

Apple wants someone who has already developed a bunch of native iOS apps. Don’t fill out the form just yet. The Cupertino giant also wants you to “have a desire to help others make truly great apps, love variety, enjoy working with people, and believe in Apple.” They mean every word of that, ask anyone at Apple.
