Apple is hiring software engineers to “join the team that is revolutionizing the watch.” A new job listing on the company’s web site indicates that the Cupertino, California-based Apple Inc. is looking for someone to build state-of-the art apps for your wrist.

The hiring is for a software engineer on the Apple Watch team. According to the listing, “you will be responsible for building world-class applications and frameworks on a brand new platform. You’ll work closely with the UI design and QA teams to develop interactions of superior quality that will ship to millions of users.”

Key qualifications include over two years of software development experience, excellent skills in Cocoa and Objective-C, experience with C/C++, a proven record of completing projects on time and to specification, experience in optimizing applications and profiling throughout the stack, communication and organizational skills, attention to detail, and experience with at least one application framework.

The new recruit will be tasked with improving the applications and their underlying frameworks, as well as “developing features with well designed solutions that can stand the test of time,” according to the California tech giant. In other words, Apple is as serious about its smartwatch as it is about the iPhone and the iPad.
