Apple has released an update to its iTunes U application for students and teachers resolving a problem that caused the software to quit out of the blue under certain circumstances.
Over at the iTunes App Store, Apple reveals that “iTunes U 1.1.1 addresses an issue which may cause it to unexpectedly quit when launched from another app.”
Apple launched the official iTunes U application in January, during an education-centric event held in New York City. The iTunes U app gives users access to complete courses from universities, plus the world’s largest digital catalog of free education content.
Requirements include an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with iOS 5 or later, an Apple ID with an iTunes Store account, and iTunes 10.5.3 or later to sync with a computer. Availability of courses varies by country.
