Apple has released an updated version of its iTunes Movie Trailers app for iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad, offering users the ability to add a movie to the Favorites section and receive a notification when it’s available for watching.

According to the Cupertino giant, “iTunes Movie Trailers puts the newest and most exclusive HD movie previews in your hands. Browse trailers, clips, and featurettes for the biggest Hollywood blockbusters and independent cinema, view stunning HD photos, explore a year-long calendar of movie releases, find showtimes near you, and get ticket info directly from your iPad or iPhone.”

In the newest installment of iTunes Movie Trailers (version 1.4), customers can add a movie to Favorites in order to be notified when the film makes its theatrical debut. The same goes for when the movie rolls out on the iTunes Store for everyone to download.

The new version also enables users to read critic reviews from the movie buffs at Rotten Tomatoes. Reviews are available for movies that are in theaters, and the key advantage here is that you can now read reviews right in the app, as opposed to having to launch the browser.

Users can also share links to their favorite movie trailers using AirDrop, and Apple has carried out some bug fixes and performance improvements across the board. Download iTunes Movie Trailers 1.4 for your iOS device.
