A new bug-fix release is available for OS X Mavericks testers running the third (and latest) developer preview. It addresses a bug causing Macs to reboot out of the blue.

Mavericks Developer Preview 3 Graphics Update 1.0 might sound like a release that patches visual glitches, but in reality it addresses the aforementioned bug causing Macs to restart without such command given by the user.

According to the Cupertino, California-based Apple Inc., “This update resolves an issue where a Mac running Mavericks DP3 may reboot without warning.”

Mavericks Developer Preview 3 Graphics Update 1.0 is actually the second Mavericks bug-fix release from Apple this week. Before this update, Apple rolled out a patch for the Recovery tools in the operating system.

Both updates are available immediately by running a Software Update check in the Mac App Store with OS X Mavericks Developer Preview 3.
