Released earlier this year for iPhone users looking to send personalized, physical cards right from their handset, Apple’s Cards application has received a minor update that improves some of its features, including text entry and the checkout process.

As its name implies, Apple’s relatively new Cards app lets you create and mail real greeting cards personalized with your own text and photos, right from your iPhone or iPod touch.

It also works with the iPad but, sadly, it’s not optimized for its big, 10-inch screen.

The latest version, Cards 1.0.1 delivers the following updates, in accordance with Apple’s release notes for the new app: improved verification of postal addresses; enhancements to text entry; improvements to the checkout process.
