@evad3rs and @nitoTV make “some encouraging progress”

In announcing its latest Seas0nPass update, fireCore has confirmed that hackers are getting closer to launching a jailbreak for Apple TV Software 6.0.

fireCore reveals on its blog that, thanks to the hard work of several big-name hackers in the jailbreak scene, Seas0nPass now supports Apple TV 5.3 untethered. Same goes for aTV Flash (black), the company’s Apple TV supercharger.

However, there are many customers using Apple TV Software version 6.0 and for that, currently, there’s no jailbreak. But all that is about to change.

According to fireCore, “...there has been some encouraging progress made on Apple TV 6.0+ thanks to our friends @evad3rs and @nitoTV, and we hope to have more news available soon.”

So there you have it. No ETA or anything, but it seems that the makers of evasi0n7 (the official iOS 7 jailbreak tool for iPhone and iPad) are not discriminating devices in Apple’s iOS ecosystem.
