Don’t expect any major new features in Apple TV 6.0.2, such as new channels or interface tweaks. All you can find in this update is “general performance and stability improvements,” according to Apple.
Labeled as Apple TV 6.0.2 Build 11B554a, the update is available for Apple TV 2G (AppleTV2,1), Apple TV 3G (AppleTV3,1) version 6.0.2 (Build 11B554a), and AppleTV3,2, a revised version of the third-generation device.
Softpedia readers can manually download Apple TV 6.0.2 Build 11B554a on our site, or use the Apple TV’s Software Update mechanism to check for the new firmware and have it installed. It isn’t immediately clear whether or not Apple TV 6.0.2 also includes security fixes.
