With plenty of rumored products up its sleeve, Apple is said to be gearing up to unleash some new stuff later this month. The event would take place on Steve Jobs' 60th birthday, according to the leak.

Not citing any sources, the well-connected E. Werner Reschke of T-GAAP says, “expect Apple to send out invitations tomorrow for a Special Event to take place on Tuesday, February 24th.”

Reschke points out that Apple has recently sent out invitations only a few days in advance, which is true. The Cupertino giant already has the Apple Watch lined up for unveiling, and according to recent rumors, retail staffers are already learning how to demo the hardware to incoming customers.

Other things rumored to make an appearance in the first half of this year include the redesigned 12-inch MacBook Air and the iPad Pro. The event could also witness announcements regarding Apple’s Beats acquisition, or the recent hire of Zane Lowe from BBC.

The safest bet is an official launch of the wearable, but Apple rarely ever holds a special event for a single showcase. We should, therefore, expect plenty of announcements, including at least one of the aforementioned rumored devices.

The invitations should go out tomorrow, according to T-GAAP, so keep your fingers and toes crossed for this one to pan out.
