Apple has released a new build of its Mountain Lion 10.8.5 Supplemental Update for owners of a Late 2013 iMac with NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M GPUs.

According to a technical note on Apple’s web site, “The iMac OS X v10.8.5 Supplemental Update 1.0 is recommended for iMacs (Late 2013) using NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M graphics and running OS X Mountain Lion v10.8.5.”

In case you’re already running Mavericks, there’s no need to download this update because it already contains the necessary patches.

Speaking of which, the Supplemental update fixes an issue that may cause external drives to be ejected after the computer goes to sleep, as well as an issue that prevents certain USB Bluetooth adapters from working.

Weighing in at 17.11 MB, the free update must be installed on computers that are already running Mountain Lion v10.8.5.
