A new iBooks update is available from Apple today, featuring improvements for iOS and iCloud compatibility. Apple doesn’t mention anything about iOS 7, but this upgrade is likely to add full support for the upcoming firmware iteration.

The release notes dished out by Apple for its relatively minor iBooks update state, “This version of iBooks improves compatibility with iOS and iCloud.”

Almost every major iOS app this week has received iOS 7 compatibility fixes, and there’s no reason to assume iBooks is an exception. Especially with the iCloud makeover introduced this week.

Apple may have forgotten to include an iOS 7 reference in the changelog for iBooks 3.1.3, but rest assured that they haven’t forgotten that today is September 18 (iOS 7 launch day).

You can download the new iBooks at the link below for your iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad device. You’ll need at least iOS 5 to run the app.
