Apple has discovered a bunch of issues with the OS X Recovery tool in Mavericks, the company’s up-and-coming desktop OS. A software update is currently being distributed through the Mac App Store to alleviate said problems.

Developers are signaling that a software update is currently available for the OS X Mavericks Developer Preview. Titled “Mavericks Developer Preview Recovery Update 1.0,” the package makes improvements to the Recovery component of the operating system.

Recovery is used whenever something really bad happens to the system, so it’s imperative that the tool is in good working order at all times.

OS X Mavericks is currently at its third Developer Preview release and will be rolled out to the general population this fall. Developers testing the software can apply the new update through the Mac App Store.
