Apple has released its first ever universal dock for iPhone and iPod touch devices that have one of those proprietary lightning connectors Apple is using on its latest devices.

According to Apple, the dock can be used to both charge and sync your iPhone and iPod touch device. Users will be able to use their devices while charging/syncing in the iPhone Lightning Dock, which also features an audio line-out port that can be used to connect to powered speakers.

Additionally, users will be able to connect headphones that include a remote control to the iPhone Lightning Dock. The dock supports various other Lightning accessories, among which the Lightning to USB cable that comes with all iPhone devices.

The iPhone Lightning Dock is compatible with all iPhone and iPod touch devices that have a lightning connector, including iPhone 5, iPhone 5c, iPhone 5s, iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPod touch 5th Generation 32GB/64GB, and iPod touch 5th Generation 16GB.

The dock costs only $39.00 (€35) and can be purchased right now from the Apple Store. The shipping appears to be free for US citizens, and Apple promises that the item will arrive in 1-3 business days. Check out the gallery below for photos of the new iPhone Lightning Dock.
