A new version of Apple’s AirPort Utility for iOS devices is now available for download from the iTunes App Store. The 1.3.3 release targets devices equipped with the 64-bit A7 chip.

Customers can download AirPort Utility for free and use it to manage a Wi-Fi network and multiple AirPort base stations. Supported devices include Apple’s own AirPort Express, AirPort Extreme, and Time Capsule.

“AirPort Utility works with all Apple 802.11n and 802.11ac Wi-Fi base stations, including AirPort Express, AirPort Extreme, and AirPort Time Capsule,” according to Apple.

The main advantage of using AirPort Utility is that you can see a graphical overview of your Wi-Fi network and devices. This interface also makes it easy to swap connectivity between base stations with different network settings, or manage advanced features, including security modes.

The latest version of AirPort Utility (1.3.3) offers 64-bit support, meaning it’s specifically designed to take advantage of the A7 chip inside the iPhone 5s, iPad Air and iPad mini with Retina display.
