Availability of the new Mac Pro is clearly constrained, as Apple is waiting until the last moment to ship the new systems, after an initial promise of launching the all-new computer in fall 2013.
Soon after citing a fall 2013 launch date, Apple saw it was necessary to push the release of the Mac Pro to December. The reason? No one knows for sure, but if you look at the Mac Pro ad that depicts the manufacturing process, it becomes clear that yield rates are definitely going to be a problem with this product. The company is now citing a “by December 30” delivery date.
