Apple has released new documentation for users of Motion 5, a behavior-driven motion graphics tool used by video professionals to create stunning imaging effects in real time.

Motion 5 sometimes doesn’t perform as expected, but there’s no reason to panic, according to Apple. If something goes wrong, users should try some basic troubleshooting steps to attempt to isolate and resolve the problem.

Directing customers to a range of guides and how-tos, support document TS3895 notes “that these steps are not intended to address a specific issue and are not comprehensive.”

Another important note is provided, advising all Motion 5 users to ensure that they have a current backup of their project files and all media, graphics, fonts, custom behaviors, filters, and third-party add-ons, before performing the steps outlined in the article.

A backup of Motion 5 itself is also required. Visit Apple to review the company's official Motion 5 Troubleshooting basics.
