Cupertino details distorted audio with Audiobus and multichannel devices

After updating the iOS installment of GarageBand with Audiobus support, Apple has released a series of knowledge base articles addressing various issues, including pops, clicks and dropouts, as well as distorted audio, more recently.

KB article TS4545 on Apple’s Support site states that, “When using Audiobus to record in GarageBand from an Audiobus-enabled application, in some situations the audio may become distorted after connecting a multichannel audio interface.”

Apple’s resolution is simpler than you might imagine: simply update any Audiobus-enabled apps you may be using with GarageBand.
