When it comes to education, no tech company can shake a stick at Apple. The Mac maker’s latest effort in this area is a new section up on iTunes which lists over 100 educational apps for iPhone and iPad.

With iDevices in the hands of students everywhere, it’s hardly a surprise that iOS has no shortage of educational content, both in the form of books, and in .app format.

To continue to help the iPad’s ascension at the top of the educational-tool food chain, Apple has now opened up a new iTunes section which encourages users to “kickstart” their school year with a wide selection of apps tailored for every subject they can think of.

The section is organized in sub-categories, spanning to-do and calendar apps (in the Get Organized segment), reading tools, a Writer’s Corner, Math Madness, Make Science Fun, History & Geography, as well as Art & Creativity.

Regardless of your major, you’ll find an app in there that most likely suits your educational needs. Head over to the iTunes App Store and wait for the banner displayed above to reel into position, then click it to open up the new section.
