Customers are instructed on how to redeem VPP code(s)

Apple Configurator users experiencing issues with code redemption are offered a short guide to fix this error, likely as a workaround until an update is rolled out.

If you’re trying to deploy an app purchased using the Volume Purchase Program (VPP), Apple Configurator may churn out an error that states “Unable to redeem code.”

One of the following errors may also appear: “Please enter your Apple ID and password to redeem your code,” or “ZFinance.RedeemCodeSrvLoginRequired,” or error code 5103. If that’s you, Apple has the following fix for you: “Quit Apple Configurator, then open it again.”

How about that? The company says you can now enter your Apple ID and password again and “you should be able to redeem the VPP code(s).” Go ahead and try it, see how it works. Also, keep in mind that Apple is said to be discontinuing its Configurator app shortly.
