A new line of MacBook Airs was announced at WWDC earlier today featuring all-day battery life, fourth-generation Intel Core processors with faster graphics, 802.11ac Wi-Fi and 45 percent faster flash storage.

The new MacBook Air is more power-efficient thanks to the new Intel Core i5 and Core i7 processors that give the 13-inch version up to 12 hours of battery life, and the 11-inch model up to 9 hours of battery life.

The ultra-thin notebooks now support the next-generation 802.11ac Wi-Fi standard “for wireless performance that is up to three times faster when connected to an 802.11ac base station,” says Apple.

The 13-inch MacBook Air now starts at $1,099 (€830) and packs new Intel HD Graphics 5000 for up to 40 percent faster performance in gaming and graphics-intensive programs.

The systems also pack Flash storage up to 45 percent faster than the previous-generation version. The 11-inch model features double the storage of its processor. The new MacBook Airs are available today.
