Apple has kicked off this year’s Back-to-School promotion, offering the usual App Store Gift cards to those who buy a Mac for college, as well as to iPhone and iPad buyers.

“Buy a Mac for college, get a $100 App Store Gift Card — and also save with education pricing. Or buy an iPad or iPhone and get a $50 card,” says Apple.

In addition to the U.S., the Cupertino giant offers the same deal throughout Europe. In EU territories, for example, the gift cards are valued at €80 and €40, respectively.

Customers receive their App Store Gift Card with their purchase when they buy a qualifying product from the Apple Online Store for Education, any Apple Retail Store, or Apple Authorized Campus Stores.

To qualify for the App Store Gift Card and get education pricing, the buyer must be a college student, a student who has been accepted to a college, a parent buying for their college student kid, or a faculty or staff member.

As usual, the App Store Gift Card can be used in the iTunes Store to download apps, music, games, books, and more.
