Does the album show as purchased in iTunes Store but there's no download button?

In an unprecedented move, U2's lead singer Bono and Apple's CEO Tim Cook gave away a full album. The moment happened at the end of the iPhone 6 and Apple Watch launch and it was a little bit awkward.

Tim Cook and Bono had the whole thing staged, but it still felt forced. Bono was asking Tim Cook for a button that could push their latest album to every iTunes user. And every iTunes user knows that is not possible. Unless... Apple wants to.

And guess what? They made it possible just a few minutes later. When the album showed up in iTunes, everyone saw that as a Purchased album. The problem was in actually downloading it. There was no button to get it on the computer.

It turns out you can get it on your computer if you go to iTunes' Preferences and activate the Cloud purchases. To get there, go to the iTunes Menu – Preferences – Store – and enable the box that says "Show iTunes in the Cloud purchases," then press OK. You will only then see the tracks listed in the iTunes Music tab with a cloud icon and a down point arrow on it. Click every cloud icon and you will see the tracks downloading in a matter of seconds.

U2's "Songs of Innocence" has 11 tracks and a Digital Booklet. Apple says it got to half a billion iTunes account holders in 119 countries. You can also get it if you sign up for an iTunes account in the next five weeks. On October 13, the Album will go to its regular price.

Apple also presented a commercial that promotes the new album in the old iPod way.
