In tandem with the highly expected Mail update for Mavericks, Apple has released two new EFI firmware updates for MacBook Pro computers with Retina displays, addressing a number of reported issues.

First off the launchpad is MacBook Pro Retina EFI Update v1.2, which targets MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, late 2013) laptops with NVIDIA graphics.

According to Apple, “This update addresses an issue which, in rare cases, may limit the performance of the discrete graphics processor after a system wake or boot.”

MacBook Pro Retina EFI Update v1.3 is for Late 2013 models with 13-inch Retina displays and “addresses an issue where the built-in keyboard and Multi-Touch trackpad may become unresponsive,” according to the Cupertino company.
