If your program membership was set to expire, don’t worry, says Apple

As Apple works to iron out all the vulnerabilities that caused the current downtime of its Developer site, registered programmers who are required to renew their subscription in this time frame shouldn’t despair.

That, according to a memo put forth by the Cupertino giant following the hack they publicly admitted to.

As the company is overhauling its developer systems, updating its server software, and rebuilding the entire database of developer.apple.com, members whose subscription was set to expire in this time frame are told to stay put and wait for the site to go back up. In the meanwhile, they won’t be missing a thing, says Apple.

Per the memo in question: “If your program membership was set to expire during this period, it has been extended and your app will remain on the App Store. If you have any other concerns about your account, please contact us.”

Here’s the link to the contact form, in case you’re targeted by the notice.
