Company claims it hasn’t violated Apple’s iOS guidelines

As reported yesterday, AppGratis has opened up a petition to allow its 12 million subscribers to submit their vote, basically contradicting Apple’s decision to have the service pulled from the App Store.

Of those 12 million AppGratis subscribers, 750,000 have submitted their mail of support in less than 24 hours. With hundreds of new votes submitted every hour, the company is on track to reach 1 million mails of support in the course of this week.

It isn’t clear what AppGratis is hoping to achieve with this petition since Apple doesn’t stipulate anywhere in its iOS guidelines that, should people form angry mobs on the Internet, the company will change its policies.

Apple may, however, be forced to revise its rules and regulations and ultimately allow AppGratis to take back its rightful place in the iTunes App Store. But we’re not too confident that they will.
