Apple isn’t softened by AppGratis’ feeble attempts to create awareness about the controversial clauses that got the service banned from the App Store.

The Cupertino giant has now cut off all ties to the push notifications service used by AppGratis to send deals to its subscribers, in what is potentially an even heavier blow than the app’s rejection.

AppGratis promises to launch a daily special offers newsletter soon, in order to bring back those free app offers to the 12 million users it has on file.

One of the two guidelines that AppGratis allegedly didn’t respect actually involved sending push notifications to customers.

AppGratis CEO Simon Dawlat says in a new blog post, “we’re back to our roots.”

“A crazy cool daily newsletter with millions of subscribers, that will very soon be complemented by the newest and nicest HTML5 WebApp you’ll ever see. Two things we fully own, and that no one can take away from us.”
