14 DAY TRIAL // One of the numerous Angry Birds installments has received an update this week, adding some holiday cheer across 18 new levels and a new kind of slingshot.
Rovio Entertainment’s Angry Birds Friends lets you challenge your Facebook friends in pig-popping tournaments.
“Play in weekly tournaments with your friends and see if you can snag the coveted bronze, silver and gold trophies. Plus, gather daily rewards, send and receive gifts, and brag about your accomplishments,” says Rovio, the Finnish developer.
In the new Angry Birds Friends 1.4.0 release, players get a Holiday-themed update with 18 new levels that open in from December 9 to December 29 in increments of six levels at a time.
“Get in the festive spirit with 18 holiday-themed levels. Play six new levels each week from December 9-29th,” reads the description.
Players also get a new Jingle Slingshot which “shoots ornaments at the pigs for extra damage and also makes it snow.” You can either buy this one via in-app purchase, but you can also earn it if you play well.
