14 DAY TRIAL // Developer Kai Aras has released a cool iPhone app that lets you combine your music playlist with the awesome functionality of Philips’ Hue Smart Bulbs to get a brilliant ambiance.
The three-dollar app (2.49 EUR) lets you select your lamps and choose a playlist. Ambify then applies some cool algorithms to analyze and visualize your music in real-time using the Philips Hue Smart Bulbs.
Ambify is not affiliated with or endorsed by Philips, which also explains why there’s an issue with the app. In some cases it may fail to pair Ambify with Hue. Aras says “an update has already been submitted to Apple and should be available shortly.”
Ambify is compatible with iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPod touch (3rd generation), iPod touch (4th generation), iPod touch (5th generation) and iPad. It requires iOS 6.0 or later and is optimized for iPhone 5.
