Star Trek fans can now pay $1.99 / €1.79 to download the digital version of Mr. Spock’s Vulcan harp on their iPad and play heavenly music (literally).

According to developer Shiverware, the fully-functional instrument replicates the alien harp from the classic Star Trek series which offers “multi‐level sounds, cool effects, and the iconic design of the original harp.”

Key features include 15 vibrating strings, distinct pluck dynamic, five different sounds, a 6-and-a-half octave range across 5 octave banks, distortion and reverberation controls, pentatonic scales, arpeggio, and a killer design sporting inlaid wood and a moving cosmos in the background.

Users can save and share their works via SoundCloud, and for those who haven’t the faintest clue of how to pluck those chords, a comprehensive tutorial is also available within the app. Download Star Trek Vulcan Harp for iOS 6.1 on any compatible iPad (starting with the second-generation model).
