Disney has announced the eight 2013 Disney Legends Award Honorees, among which the animation studio mentions Steve Jobs, Apple’s late co-founder and visionary genius.

An early investor and chief executive of Pixar, Steve Jobs became the Walt Disney Company’s largest shareholder in 2006 when he acquired Pixar Animation Studios.

His vision helped create some of the most inspiring animation films ever made, including “A Bug’s Life,” “WALL-E,” and many others.

It’s no wonder then that The Disney Legend Award is reserved for “the extraordinary visionaries and artists behind the Disney magic, the men and women who push the limits of innovation and creativity to ensure Disney remains truly special,” according to the official announcement.

In addition to Jobs, the other seven “legends” honored this year are: Tony Baxter, Collin Campbell, Dick Clark, Billy Crystal, John Goodman, Glen Keane, and Ed Wynn.
