Apple this week launched an upgraded version of the iPad with Retina display which ships with 128GB of on-board Flash storage for a greater expandability of the tablet’s offerings.

In the press statement issued Tuesday, Apple specifically notes that its tablets are a top choice among businesses worldwide, implying that the new model is even better suited for corporate needs.

“iPad continues to have a significant impact on business with virtually all of the Fortune 500 and over 85 percent of the Global 500 currently deploying or testing iPad,” the company states.

Examples of such companies – that utilize large amounts of data on a regular basis – are those that use “3D CAD files, X-rays, film edits, music tracks, project blueprints, training videos and service manuals,” Apple says.

If you’re situated somewhere along those lines, the new iPad is for you, Apple suggests – “all benefit from having a greater choice of storage options for iPad,” it states.
